By now, Many of you might have received the information that Mcdonald’s 43 outlets will be shut down with effect from 29 June 2017. The media reports that this is due to a fight between North Indian Franchisee and Mcdonald’s .
The reason behind the Shutdown.
Connaught Plaza Restaurants Pvt Ltd (CPRL) is a joint venture of its Vikram Bakshi (the founder ) and MIPL, that runs the fast food chain in the east and north India.
Back in 2013, McDonald’s India removed Vikram Bakshi as the managing director of the joint venture.
The Joint venture initially had 4 members – Vikram, his wife, and two representatives from the American company.
When Vikram was removed from the director’s post, he hallenged his removal in the companies law board. This initiated a long legal battle among the two parties over ownership and shares.
So if you are looking to have a McDonald’s burger .Before you leave out for an outlet, You should have a look at the list Of McDonald’s who are currently in Operation.

The board of Connaught Plaza Restaurants Private Limited who is the licensee for McDonald’s in the north and east India is trying to obtain the required set of licenses as soon as possible . But until the issue is been resolved all the 43 outlets are temporarily suspended from operation.
