They are however rescued by Ego, who is Quill’s biological father. On Ego’s invitation, Quill, Gamora, and Drax go to his home planet while Rocket and Baby Groot stay back with Nebula. However, little does Quill know that he has walked into a deadly trap. How the guardians save the worlds from total destruction is what the rest of the story tells us about.

The duo intends to reach the ISS which is about 900 miles away. However, due to another accident, Kowalski is forced to detach the duo’s tether and float away in space to never return. The rest of the story is about Stone’s inspiring battle to reach back home safely, despite all odds.

As it is not habitable by humans, RDA operates ‘avatars’ who are human hybrids of Navi, the local inhabitants of Pandora, to investigate the location. Jake Sully gets stuck at the place and meets and falls in love with Neytiri, a female Navi. He soon realizes that RDA expanding the mining colony on Pandora would lead to the destruction of the Navis. Empathizing with them, he has to now choose where his loyalties lie.

In Montana, the United States, the army sends Louise Banks and Ian Donnelly to study the spaceship hovering over Montana. Banks is a linguist while Donnelly is a physicist. They encounter two aliens, whom they call Abbott and Costello, on the ship. After a message from the aliens is decoded by Banks and Donnelly, a war-like situation arises across the nations. How Banks later breaks the tension by interpreting the real purpose of the aliens’ visit is what forms the crux of the story.

Considered one of the best movies of 2016, Arrival is highly praised for its powerful story and direction as well as the terrific performance of Amy Adams as Louise Banks. The American Film Institute declared the movie as one among the ten ‘Movies of the Year’. Thirteen years later, James Kirk joins the Starfleet Academy where he meets a young Commander Spock, who is from planet Vulcan. The rest of the story talks of the duo’s efforts in defeating Nero who poses a threat to the United Federation of Planets.

A secret that could overthrow the course of civilization on the planet. With several interesting plot twists, the story tells us of K’s adventurous quest for Rick Deckard, a former blade runner to solve the mystery.

They decide to work together and break out of the Kyln prison. The five members of the gang are Quill, Gamora, Rocket, Groot, and Drax. Ronan, under the instructions of Thanos, is also after the orb. He attacks the gang at Knowhere just after Tivan explains the significance of the orb to the gang. Apparently, the orb contains the Power Stone, one of the six infinity stones that form the basis of the universe. How the gang succeeds in guarding the stone from getting into evil hands is what forms the rest of the story.

This space-related movie was a huge success at the box office. It went on to become the third highest-grossing film of 2014. It is critically lauded for the direction, humor, visual effects, action sequences, screenplay, and performances by the cast. The team exits the planet leaving behind Watney, who is actually alive. The rest of the story tells us of Watney’s inspiring determination and creative efforts to stay alive on the planet and return back home. When his undying spirit teams up with the intelligent NASA team on earth, Watney gets a chance to come home after spending 560 Martian solar days on Mars.

The film opened to high critical acclaim for its intelligent storyline and scientific accuracy, direction, visual effects, and strong performances.
