Lately, the captains of all ten teams were invited at Buckingham Palace, London for a gathering.

Indian team captain, Virat Kohli met Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Harry before the opening ceremony of the tournament.

Photographs were shared on social media. In one photo, Queen Elizabeth was seen shaking hands and laughing with Indian team captain, Virat Kohli, and English captain, Eoin Morgan.

Another photo showed all the ten captains and Queen Elizabeth, where Queen and half the captions were seen sitting.

Some users wondered what they were talking about, so, they couldn’t resist themselves, assumed results on their own and made memes about it.

Few Twitter users said, ” World cup to jeetega hi, sath mein Kohinoor bhi le aao“. Some said, “You have two options Kohli, either you have to bring Kohinoor or world cup” or “When KOHLInoor’s brand value is more than Kohinoor itself”.

 

Even they left people in doubt if they are coming back with diamonds or not. What if these memes are true? What if in reality, we are getting our Kohinoor diamond back was the question popping up in everybody’s mind!

Just in case you dont know about Kohinoor diamond, Kohinoor, the fabled Indian diamond, was surrendered by the Maharaja of Lahore to Queen Victoria. Kohinoor was neither stolen nor forcibly taken by Britishers, nor it was gifted.

The Kohinoor diamond was surrendered to Queen Victoria in the Lahore treaty held between Lord Dalhousie and Maharaja Duleep Singh in 1849.

Ever since we have got our independence, India and Pakistan both are trying to get back the diamond from the UK Government.

 

Well, news has leaked that “Queen Elizabeth is ready to give our diamond back if our men in blue win the Cricket World cup 2019”. After a gap of 170 years, she is finally ready to give those diamonds back.
