National News: BJP expels Unnao rape accused MLA Kuldeep Sengar – God of Small Thing

In what seemed to be a legitimate move, BJP has expelled Unnao rape accused MLA Kuldeep Sengar from the party. As per the sources, Home Minister Amit Shah had asked the State BJP unit to expel Kuldeep Sengar. The Unnao rape case was earlier transferred from state police to CBI on Tuesday.

The action came after the Unnao rape case victim was involved in an accident with a high speeding truck. The accident costed two lives to the victim’s family.  It is firmly believed that the accident was a planned accident.

An atmosphere of public outrage was observed on social media just after the incident asking action against the accused “Kuldeep Sengar”. There was a firm pressure over Yogi Adityanath led BJP in the state to take action against 4-times MLA Kuldeep Sengar.

CBI re-registered criminal case against Kuldeep Sengar:

Soon after the case was handed over to CBI, CBI re-registered criminal case against the accused. Along with Kuldeep, Manoj sing Sengar (Brother of Kuldeep Singh Sengar) and Arun Singh, Son -in – law of Minister of state for agriculture was suspended by the Yogi Adityanath led BJP party. As per reports, more than 25-30 people have been booked in charges by CBI out of which 10 are identified while the other 15-20 are unknown.

The question that arises is that with power and influence, a person who is locked up in jail controls an entire event. The victim may or may not survive as well. She is left all alone. The witnesses are dead, which pave a clear way to closure of the case. The girl might not even take it from here.
Let us hope that the judiciary intervenes and provides appropriate help and security to the girl. As per Times of India, it was interesting to see that U.P government acknowledged the lapse and transferred the case to C.B.I.
