Entire nation has been mourning for the soldiers who sacrificed their lives while fighting terrorism and insurgency. Although there were speculations over how the attacks will be avenged , but one thing was sure it will be done. And today was the day, merely 12 days after Pulwama attack, India on 26th Feb avenged Pulwama attack as Indian Air Force carried out air strikes in Pakistan. As per the sources, there were over 200 casualties from the Strike carried out by the Indian air force in PoK. The air strikes were carried out around 3:30 this morning, news agency ANI reported, quoting sources.
According to Air Force sources, the aircraft dropped 1,000 kg laser-guided bombs on major terror camps across the Line of Control (LoC), completely destroying it, news agency ANI reported.

Which areas were targeted for the attack?
The militant camps in the PoK region and launch pads were the main target for the strike. As per sources, the main targets were Balakot, Chakothi and Muzaffarabad sectors and they have been completely destroyed along with JeM control rooms.
How was the attack carried out?
12 Mirage Jets Dropped 1,000 kg Bombs On Terror Camps Across LoC. Along with Mirage Jets. Indian Air Force’s Sukhoi jets were also a part of the fleet used in the air strike. The other jets were in place for any cover, if required. Sukhoi only flew to give cover to Mirage. The IAF jets bombarded terror camps in Balakot at around 3.45 am, Muzafarrabad at around 3.48 am and Chakoti at around 3.58 am. Sources say that joint training camps of terror outfits JeM, LeT and Hizbul Mujahideen were targeted. The camp was led by led by Maulana Yusuf Azhar alias Ustad Ghauri, brother-in-law of JeM Chief Masood Azhar. According to a report published in The Hindu, Yusuf was one of the men who hijacked the Indian Airline flight IC 814 to Kandahar in 1999.
The Internet and every Indian has been applauding the step taken by the Indian Government against terrorism. Earlier, The Jaish-e-Mohammed had claimed responsibility for the February 14 attack and had also posted videos of the bomber, who had joined the terror group a year ago.
Pakistan’s Reaction Over the Attack:
Unlike the last time this time Pakistan Government has claimed that the Indian Air Force jets crossed the Line of Control (LoC), following which the former “scrambled” immediately.
Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that India has carried out a misadventure against Pakistan. “I will call it grave aggression. We had warned the world that such an act can take place. Today they carried out this misadventure against Pakistan. This is a violation of the Line of Control. Pakistan reserves the right to adequate response and a right to self-defense. I will meet the Prime Minister and present him with the view of the Foreign Ministry,” he added.
