It is high time when people must understand that mental health problems are real. This incident made us ponder how many actually commit suicide in the world because of mental health issues. The only reason behind that is that we have made Mental health issues sound like “Pagalpan” especially in India, as Gauri Shinde suggested in her movie Dear Zindagi.
On May 26, 2020, Crime Patrol actor Preksha Mehta also committed suicide as pandemic had hit her hard and she was not able to deal with it. “Sabse bura hota hai sapno ka mar jaana (sic).” said her last story on Instagram.
Don’t let the pandemic take over!
All we can say is that it is heartbreaking to hear such news and what is required from us is to stay calm during the pandemic. Don’t let the financial loss or depression take over at this time. This too shall pass! Gather courage even on the days you don’t feel like waking up and working. Gather courage for your family. Think 1000 times about the people you will leave mourning after taking such steps.
Even if you or someone else deals with mental health problems, take them seriously. Don’t joke about it as it is real! Anxiety is real. Depression takes lives.
Please everyone, we are together in this pandemic. Let us together stay strong and fight back.
