Rohit Shetty has his own way of entertaining. Like other Shetty movies, this one too is a perfect Bollywood masala. It has humor, action, thrill, romance, peppy dance numbers, and gravity-defying stunts. All the elements have been used to strike connect with the audience. An action comedy with Ranveer Singh as the lead can be expected to rake the moolah.
Simbaa movie review: The Plot
Ranveer as Sangram Bhalerao aka Simba is a corrupt policeman who gets transferred from Shivgarh (Singham’s hometown) to Miramar. Here he meets his team that includes Tawde (Siddhanth Jadhav) and Borkar (Vijay Patkar), but there is one man — Mohile, played by the talented Ashutosh Rana, who doesn’t seem to be happy with the new senior. Simbaa openly declares his love for the bribe and also befriends the local goon Durva Ranade (Sonu Sood) in lieu of money. Things, however, change when his sister is raped and killed.
One kilogram is not the same anymore !! It has been redefined: would it make you heavier?
The main plot of the story is about how he avenges his sister’s death. During the course, he meets and falls for Shagun (Sara Ali Khan), who has a small screen presence but she leaves her mark and adds vibrancy and spunk to the story.
Simbaa movie review: Performance Review
Ranveer as Simbaa is charming and so much into his character that one can fall for him instantly. His Bajirao accent surely helps him here as he manages to pull his part with so much ease. None of his antics look made up or forced. It would not be an exaggeration to say that Ranveer owns Simbaa. Be it his effortless dance moves or his comic dialogues, he is just brilliant everywhere.
Sonu Sood as Durva is even better than Cheddi Singh. He gives the protagonist a run for his money by being a strong and competent rival.
All the supporting actors did a good job, particularly Ashutosh Rana. Ajay Devgan also has a special appearance as the no-nonsense Bajirao Singham. All in all, Simbaa is a good option to bid goodbye to the new year dancing and smiling.
We would definitely recommend watching the movie if you are looking for a complete masala and dhamaka entertainer.

@sidhuwrites: #Simmba: Rohit Shetty knows how to get the audience hooting through both dialogues and heroisms. Will be a lot more with a packed audience than on a small screen. And yes, can’t wait for the Singham-Simmba crossover as a full movie, there’s also a big surprise right at the end! Quite a good entertainer. Has an okayish first half with Ranveer’s comics being overdone, but the second half gets things right with some well-packaged mass masala. The last 40 minutes – the biggest strength!
