Over the course of the first quarter of the National Football Conference divisional round playoff game between the Green Bay Packers and the San Francisco 49ers, wide receiver Deebo Samuel sustained an injury to his left shoulder.
Unfortunately, the injury forced him to leave the game early, and he did not return. The team has not yet disclosed any details on the severity of his injuries or the length of time he will be unable to participate in any activities.
The 49ers suffered a big setback as a result of Samuel's absence because he has been an essential member of the club during the current season. In the 15 games he has played thus far this season, he has accumulated 1,100 receiving yards and six touchdowns.
The 49ers were able to prevail in the game by a score of 24-21; however, the triumph was bittersweet because Samuel sustained an injury. After the game, the head coach of the 49ers, Kyle Shanahan,
stated that Samuel's injury was "not good" and that the club would have to wait for more assessment before establishing the severity of the injury.
Following the conclusion of the game between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Los Angeles Rams, the 49ers will compete in the NFC Championship game the following week3.
We hope that Deebo Samuel will make a rapid recovery and find himself back on the pitch in the near future.
