Kevin Costner honors this dreamer with a retro shot from his debut film

On Instagram, American actor, director, and producer Kevin Costner marked his 69th birthday by posting a black-and-white photo of himself in "Malibu Hot Summer" from 1981.

His caption said, "Celebrating another year and honoring this dreamer youngster. Hard to believe our progress ". The snapshot portrays a young Costner with long hair and a mustache staring out.

Costner's 40-year career in entertainment has been successful. He starred in "Dances with Wolves," "The Bodyguard," and "Field of Dreams" (all critically praised). 

He directed and produced "Open Range" and "The Postman". Costner is noted for his flexibility and ability to play complicated roles.

The actor and musician Costner has recorded two country music CDs. Entrepreneur, he has invested in various companies, including an oil spill cleaning machine maker.

"Horizon: A Western Saga," Costner's next film, is "incredibly meaningful" to him. Sienna Miller, Sam Worthington, Jamie Campbell Bower, and others feature in the June 2024 film.
