Dangal Actress Zaira Wasim quits Bollywood says “Damaged My Relationship With Allah” – God of Small Thing
Leaving everyone in shock, actor Zaira Wasim decided to quit her journey of Bollywood. She shared a long message on her Facebook handle which says she has been constantly trying to battle against her thoughts and not happy with this identity.
She said, “5 years ago I made a decision that changed my life forever. As I stepped my foot in Bollywood, it opened doors of massive popularity for me. I started to become the prime candidate of public attention, I was projected as the gospel of the idea of success and was often identified as a role model for the youth.
However, that’s never something that I set out to do or become, especially with regards to my ideas of success and failure, which I had just started to explore and understand“.
She added, “As I complete 5 years today, I want to confess that I am not truly happy with this identity i.e my line of work. For a very long time now it has felt like I have struggled to become someone else“.
She said, ” I may fit here perfectly, I don’t belong here”!!
Well, she started her career in 2016 with a blockbuster hit film, Dangal. In 2017, she starred in Secret Superstar also. Though everybody knows she got the privilege to work with Mr. Perfectionist of Bollywood, Amir Khan.
She further added, This field indeed brought a lot of love, support, and applause my way. But what it also did was to lead me to a path of ignorance, as I silently and unconsciously transitioned out of Imaan.
Looking at the message she shared it seems like she is having a hard time balancing her career and religion.
Secret Superstar Actress Zaira Wasim said, “ While I continued to work in an environment that consistently interfered with my imaan, my relationship with my religion was threatened. As I continued to ignorantly pass through while I kept trying to convince myself that what I was doing is okay and isn’t really affecting me, I lost all the Barakat from my life “.
Secret Superstar Actress Zaira Wasim further added in the note, “ I was constantly battling with my soul to reconcile my thoughts and instincts to fix a static picture of my imaan and I failed miserably, not just once but a hundred times“.

Her fans are showing their love but they are sad at the time. They are trying to be her support. But it seems like Bangladeshi author Tasreena Nasreen didn’t like the idea of her quitting Bollywood industry.
And, she took her aggression to Twitter and said, “Oh My Goosebumps! Bollywood’s talented actress Zaria Wasim now wants to quit acting because she thinks her acting career almost destroyed her faith in Allah. What a moronic decision! So many talents in the Muslim community are forced to go under the darkness of the burqa”.

But, Jammu and Kashmir’s former CM Omar Abdullah came out in her support and said, “Who are any of us to question @ZairaWasimmm’s choices? It’s her life to do with as she pleases. All I will do is wish her well & hope that whatever she does makes her happy”.
And of course, he is right. Well, no one can attack her by saying what a moronic and stupid decision she has taken. It’s her life, this is how she wants to leave.
She said in her note, “ In the great and divine wisdom of the Quran, I found sufficiency and peace. Indeed the hearts find peace when it acquires the knowledge of its creator, his attributes, his mercy and his commandments “.
Peace is a basic part of life. Now, she has found her peace in her own terms, we are no one to attack her and accuse her of decision. She must have thought so many times before quitting Bollywood. She was juggling between the thoughts whether to quit the Bollywood or not. But, now she has finally made her decision.
It’s no lie that we are going to miss this pretty face on big-screen.
Though you don’t worry, soon she will be seen in the film, ” The sky is pink”. This film is set to release in October this year.
