Chunky Panday’s daughter Ananya Panday made her Bollywood debut with Karan Johar’s Student of the Year 2 at the age of 20. Ever since her debut, she has been in the news. Though it is not surrounding her performance, it is related to her academics.

Ananya’s selection for US universities
Actor Chunky Panday is a proud father and why would he not be. His daughter Ananya Panday has made a noteworthy debut with Student Of The Year 2 and also showered with praises for her stint in the film. It is a known fact that Ananya chose films over college and looks like the actress is not regretting one bit of it. The actress has been quite truthful candid about her dream of making it big in showbiz.
Ananya claimed during the movie promotions that she has been selected for the University of Southern California. “I was all set to go to college. I was going to USC (University of Southern California) for further studies but wanted to give it one shot before I left. So I went and auditioned for the film. And luckily, I got it. This a dream come true,” Ananya was saying. But, she rejected the offer because of her Bollywood debut. Even her mother confirmed the same in a post.
Is Ananya Pandey faking her admission?
Apart from her acting stint, Ananya recently got talked about when some girls who claimed to be Ananya’s schoolmates, shared on social media that the actress lied about her admission to international universities, stating that she never applied for them.
Twitter user revealed than Ananya had a tiff with her school friends on her private Instagram account ‘Annie Pee.’ Post the incident, one of Ananya’s schoolmate took to her Instagram stories to reveal that Ananya was bluffing about her whole USC admission.
In now-deleted tweets and Instagram stories, Anieeepeee claimed a lot of stuff that impacts the reputation of Ananya. A twitter user Sapna recreated the story. In one of her tweets she wrote, “So the story goes, Ananya gets called out by a school mate for saying she got a seat at USC which she didn’t. It was publicized by her mother on Instagram and in her interviews. Then she threatens the gal who exposed her on Instagram (just got to know it’s a private Instagram).”
Ananya Pandey on her fake admission story:
Closing the rumors, the actress took care of the social networks and published photos of the documents. With the same, she wrote I did not want to do this. I did not feel that I needed to explain myself to anyone, but the rumors that I falsified my admission to the USC have been going around for a while.
They have gotten out of hand, and it is even more unfair and sad that my family and friends have to go through this.
As I said before, I was accepted by the Annenberg School of Journalism and Communication at USC to obtain a specialization in Communication in the spring semester of 2018.
But since I was filming my first film and the premiere date was later pushed, I had to request a postponement (which means postponing my admission) twice, first in the fall of 2018 and then in the fall of 2019, both agreed to do so. In my case, I could only postpone my admission twice, so I will not attend the university (for now) since I have decided to continue my career as an actor.
Chunky’ Pandey’s opinion on Ananya Pandey’s admission
Also Chunky told IANS he wasn’t aware of the social media buzz around his daughter’s education. “Yes, she got into two universities but did not go because she got the film… I don’t think she will be going to university now. She will be working in Bollywood now and making her carrier better,” he said.
Chunky also praised his daughter’s first on-screen performance. “I am so proud of her. She performed well. I was scared if she would be able to perform well or not… But she did a good job. I am happy about her achievement. She is an intelligent person. She has a long journey ahead,” he remarked.
