Pod hotels have been quite a popular concept in Japan and Singapore for some years. The good news is that you don’t actually need to visit these places to relish this exciting stay experience. A pod hotel has been launched in our country too. Mumbai became the first city in India to have a pod hotel.
This New technology purifies water using sunlight and is the best thing you will see today
What is this UrbanPod Concept?
Just in case you are unaware of the concept, a pod hotel is like your personal mini capsule with all the basic and luxury amenities possible in a room. No, we did not mention that it has a personal pool!.
These are just your personal hotel rooms which suffice for 1 or 2 at the max. However, all the amenities like LED TV, laundry, free Wi-Fi (without which we can’t imagine our survival), personal locker and dresser are very much there. And all this comes at a fraction of cost when compared to hotel rooms with the same comfort and facilities.
UrbanPod in India:
So people welcome to Urbanpod—India’s first pod hotel that provides you the best of all worlds. While you can enjoy a stylish international hotel like feel, it is a trendy space at your comfort and that too at a very affordable price. Your probable hotel for next vacation in Mumbai is located in Opus Park in Andheri’s SEEPZ area. It is barely 5 km from the international airport and is a small walking distance from the major local stations. Just like all the major Pod hotels this too has a shared restroom area and a common cafeteria.
Urban Pod India pricing and review:
The pods are available in 2 variants, classic and private. Every Classic Pod customer gets baggage lockers outside the pod (obviously you can’t take luggage inside) and complimentary breakfast.
Of the 124 Classic Pods, 18 are women only and are placed in one room. The second category is that of the Private Pods, which gives a bit of extra space as compared to the previous ones and is best suited for couples. And the décor will surely give you a feel of the next gen.
